"The Response" will be featured at the annual meeting and conference of the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary (NAALJ) in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with a screening and panel discussion on September 20, 2011. The event is part of the 3-day education conference for members of the administrative law judiciary, including judges, lawyers, and students.
Steve Wise, administrative law judge and NAALJ 2011 conference co-chair, described "The Response" as "fascinating" and "incredibly relevant to Administrative Law Judges." According to Wise, "Some of our members are employed by the Department of Homeland security, but anyone who conducts administrative hearings would benefit from seeing this movie. It’s in two parts--the Hearing and Deliberations. We plan to show the Hearing segment, followed by a discussion of the hearing process, then showing the Deliberations segment with similar discussion. The discussion of due process, hearsay and the reliability of evidence fits with our conference theme--Evidence, Ethics, and Experts in the Land of Enchantment. I think the movie is terrific and very much want to share it with my professional colleagues."
